Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:19
Sometimes it seems like we’re standing in the middle of a thick forest. Lost. No way out. No path, no help to be found. Trees block the sunlight, we have no cell phone reception, no idea which way to go. At least, that’s what it feels like, right?
But God says when we’re in a wilderness with no clear path, He’ll make a path. He’ll clear a way for us, if we’ll just keep looking to Him and moving forward. If we turn around and try to live in the past, we’ll lose our way. But if we follow Him, He’ll show us a better way.
At times, it feels like we don’t have the provisions we need. We struggle to pay bills, or we long for friendship or lost love. We feel physically, financially, or spiritually destitute. But even then, God will bring a river! But in order to find that river, we can’t return to our former way of life. We must keep moving forward, keep following Him, keep trusting His love for us. He is good, and all His plans for us are good. In faith, we can leave the past behind and step forward into a future filled with His bountiful provision.
Dear Father, I trust You with my future. I can’t wait to see what You have in store. Amen.
